Chapter Four: The End
I have yet another shout-out to those who dare to read this tragedy. This final chapter does not end like most stories. For example, Bravewind's story may end with he and his one true love having kits. Assassin's story may end with him gaining his father's respect, which, though, is quite unlikely. But sadly, this story ends with a tragedy far worse than any other. Again, I must warn you that you have the power to read another tale that is not as teary as this one.
Thunder. That's all I heard. Lightning. That's all I saw. I felt wet, slippery tears tumbling down my cheeks combined with the pouring rain. The scene was quite disasterous and even now I cannot put a positive spin on it. That's when lightning striked the tree I was under. Then again. I felt my heart skip beats. Was StarClan tryin to kill me? I panted and, between hoarse sobs, I screamed, "I didn't mean what I said! Don't throw anything you've got at me! Show mercy, StarClan! MERCY!!! Please! No! Don't do i--" I never finished the sentence. The tree fell after being striked by the lightning several times. It landed squarely on me. And, just like that, I was wiped out of existance. I did not look forward to facing Fadefur and Ghostcloud.
When my spirit arrived at its destination, my eyes nearly leaped out of my head. The Dark Forest! I saw Fadefur battling a slightly aged cream-colored she-cat, supposedly his mother, whom he had murdered long ago when he was alive. The she-cat faded to black as Fadefur delivered the death blow. The same move I'd used to murder him. I then saw Fadefur and Claweyes get into a fight. I smiled and began to cheer Claweyes on. I ignored glares of puzzlement and anger from fellow Dark Forest cats as Fadefur, hence his name, faded. I knew that I belonged here, with Claweyes and Scarpelt. But, I admit, I hate Mapleshade, who is the eldest cat in the Dark Forest. Things weren't perfect, until I saw my biggest chance at living again, through another cat...Firekit.
